When Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was first unveiled nearly two years ago, WB Games said that the game would be out sometime in 2022, and when gameplay footage from the title finally debuted in December last year, the publisher maintained that that was still the targeted launch window. As many have predicted though, it turns out plans have changed.
Earlier this year, reports claimed that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League had been internally delayed out of the year by WB Games and developer Rocksteady. Now, that’s been officially confirmed, with Rocksteady founder Sefton Hill announcing on Twitter that the open world action-adventure title will now launch in Spring 2023.
“I know a delay is frustrating, but that time is going into making the best game we can,” Hill wrote in his message.
In the latter months of 2022, WB Games already has a pretty stacked release schedule, with Gotham Knights due out in October and Hogwarts Legacy targeting a Holiday launch. Given that schedule, it makes sense that the publisher wants to space out its biggest releases- and that, of course, is time that Rocksteady can use to further improve the game.
Whenever Suicide Squad launches, it’ll be available for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
