Despite responding on Twitter that he been contacted about reprising the role of Cole Train for Black Tusk Studios’ Gears of War on the Xbox One, voice actor Lester Speight has now retracted those claims.

Speight stated on Twitter: “Let me clear up a misunderstanding. I’m willing to reprise my roll as Cole Train but I HAVEN’T BEEN CONTACTED YET, STOP!!! NO MORE RUMORS!!!”

The funny thing is that his original tweet was in response to a fan who explicitly asked if he had been contacted, to which Speight said “Yup!” So this is pretty much confirmation that he is reprising his role, right?

Regardless, it’s best to wait for the official announcement from Black Tusk Studios and Microsoft on the same before saying anything more. Gears of War on the Xbox One is allegedly due some time in 2016, judging by previously mentioned time needed to develop the game (stated to be 2.5 years). Stay tuned for more information.
