The Coalition’s Gears of War 4 has done pretty well critically since its release this week but has faced issues for lag and “hitching” issues on the Xbox One. The developer announced an update today to deal with these issues weighing in at 218 MB for console along since PC users haven’t faced the same problem.

Matchmaking times have also been long for players and to improve the same, there have been two server side updates. That being said, the development team is still trying to iron things out – the last update, released at the game’s launch, also targeted better matchmaking times for players.

The developer also noted that, “For offline LAN plan between PC/XB1 – There will be a version mismatch until our next big large title update.” Online co-op for cross-play will work just fine though.
