The Coalition’s Rod Fergusson appeared at Microsoft’s E3 2015 conference to confirm that Gears of War: Ultimate Edition was coming to Xbox One this August. A public beta for the same will be going live soon but that’s not the biggest announcement. Gears of War 4 saw its premiere gameplay trailer the event. Check it out above.

The trailer follows a pair of Gears as they traverse a dark, seemingly abandoned environment. That is, until monstrous noises can be heard and the weather picks up, showcasing some impressive environmental destruction in the process. It isn’t long before things get relatively creepier and before you know it, the pair is surrounded by some rather large monsters. The chainsaw bayonet and shotgun have made a return at least.

Gears of War 4 releases in Holiday 2016 for the Xbox One. According to Phil Spencer, the game was running in real-time. What are your thoughts on the visuals and gameplay? Let us know in the comments below.
