Nintendo Spotlight E3 2017 Briefing Will Be 30 Minutes

Or so it seems.

Posted By | On 06th, Jun. 2017

With most other publishers taking more than an hour to trot out their upcoming games, it’s a little surprising to hear that Nintendo’s main E3 2017 news presentation will be shorter. The company recently announced that Nintendo Spotlight: E3 2017 will be on June 13th at 9:30 AM PT and wrap up at 10 AM PT.

Yes, that’s roughly 30 minutes and oddly enough, it’s half an hour shorter than Nintendo’s main briefings in the past few years. Theoretically, Nintendo could make several announcements during the Spotlight briefing and then in Treehouse: Live at E3, it could share more gameplay footage. Treehouse: Live at E3 starts at 10 AM PT.

We do know at this point that Nintendo will be showcasing new details on upcoming Nintendo Switch and 3DS titles with Super Mario Odyssey and Pokken Tournament DX confirmed for the show. Then there are the other heavy hitters like the next Shin Megami Tensei, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Splatoon 2 and so on that should be featured.

What are your thoughts on Nintendo’s main news briefing being so short? Let us know in the comments.
