Scratch That Last, The 3DS Might Release This Year After All

Posted By | On 28th, Jun. 2010

So, remember how Reggie went on to state on national television that the 3DS would not be releasing this year? Remember how he pegged it for a Q1 2011 release? Yeah, well, apparently, he was mistaken.

Apparently, a couple of guys close to the overlords at Nintendo of Japan have gone on to clarify the vague comments Reggie made, which left quite a lot of room for interpretation. Although they did not really say the 3DS would be releasing next year after all, they did say that Reggie was mistaken. Which is quite confusing. Optimists, though, may construe it to mean that the 3DS will have a 2010 release date, otherwise why would NoJ bother clarifying at all?

The Nintendo 3DS is the successor to the DS line of handhelds (keep up already!), which have collectively sold 130 million units worldwide.
