Since its launch earlier this year, kung fu beat ’em up Sifu has seen some notable additions, particularly when it added difficulty options in May, and sure enough, as developer SloClap said previously, the game has more updates planned for 2022. The Summer update arrives soon, and SloClap has provided more details on what you can expect.

Sifu’s summer update, which will be available on August 31, will introduce some interesting features, the most notable of which seems the addition of gameplay modifiers. These can be used to make things more or less challenging in a number of interesting ways, from giving yourself unbreakable weapons to reducing yourself to a single hit point.

The update will also bring a new scoring system, which will take into account every punch, kick, sweep and finisher, and give you a ranking based on “smoothness, efficiency, and variety.” Meanwhile, there will also be two new outfits to try out.

You can get more details in the trailer below.

Sifu is available on PS5, PS4, and PC. The game is set to receive two more updates in 2022.
