Bethesda Softworks’ The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim was spotted in the reveal trailer for the Nintendo Switch and though the publisher didn’t explicitly confirm the open world RPG’s release for the platform, director Todd Howard has hinted that it’s pretty much happening.

In a new interview with Glixel, Howard said that he played the Switch at E3. “I love it. I got to play it. I will tell you – well, maybe that’s an N.D.A. thing. One of the best demos I’ve ever seen. Probably the best demo I’ve ever seen. At E3.”

Howard called the device “really smart” and noted that Bethesda is “definitely going to be supporting it. It’s the first time we’ve done something on Nintendo. If you don’t count the old NES stuff.” As for Skyrim and whether it could be played on a small screen, Howard noted, “It’s the same game on the TV and on the other screen.”

As for The Elder Scrolls 6, Howard confirmed that it was in the works but “It’s not what you would call a big, active project right now. There are some other [projects] that we have going. We know [The Elder Scrolls is] important to our fans, and we need to be careful about setting expectations. It’s certainly a game that we’ll be making one day. I could sit here and explain to you exactly what we want it to be.”
