Ragetail

As with most fist bosses, Ragetail is quite easy to take down. It offers a glimpse into the world of WILD HEARTS, and the kinds of encounters you can expect in the long run. In terms of weaknesses, the Ragetail, may be weak to blunt and slashing damage, but you can even use a bow (piercing) to take it down with ease. Here is a video showcasing the full boss fight in detail.

Sapscourge

The Sapscourge is a plant-based monster with improved defenses. It’s weakest to slashing damage, and using other damage types isn’t as effective as it was with the previous boss. The Spring Karakuri is the perfect weapon for this fight, as it enables you to dodge the sap thrown at you by the Kemono. Here is a video showcasing the full boss fight in detail.

Kingtusk

The Kingtusk is a tough opponent. Although it’s weak to slashing and fire type attacks, its vine attacks are devastating. The vines not only inflict damage, but they also stagger you and make you vulnerable to the Kingtusk’s charging attacks.

Spineglider

The Spineglider is susceptible to both plant and fire damage and is one of the most agile Kemonos in the game. It can create rock formations and use it as a perch to launch devastating sweeping attacks. The Pounder Fusion Karakuri is quite useful in this fight as it breaks the platform while also dealing significant damage to the creature. Here is a video that shows how you can defeat the Spineglider even if you don’t have the specified Karakuri.

Dreadclaw

The Dreadclaw is a massive rooster that relies on quick, successive attacks. It’ll keep attacking you once it catches you off-guard. Try to escape the barrage of blows to look for an opening. There are weak points on both sides. A few quick strikes will allow you to knock back the Kemono and deal damage. The Dreadclaw also has several attack patterns, such as sonic blast, ground pound, and sonic blast. All of them are well telegraphed, so with a bit of practice, you shouldn’t have any trouble countering them. See this short video if you’re having trouble with the fight.

Gritdog

The Tanuki may seem harmless, but it’s quite dangerous, especially during the enraged stage. The Kemonos ability to pull hunters into close range by manipulating the ground under their feet is quite remarkable and dangerous. Even if you manage to avoid it, the Kemono can launch stalactites at long distances, dealing significant damage. However, the creature is sluggish, giving you ample time to dodge its attacks. The Pounder Fusion Karakuri is especially useful in this fight, and combined with piercing and wind damage, you should be able to take it down with ease. Here is a video showcasing the entire fight.

Lavaback

The Lavaback is the toughest Kemono you can encounter in the first chapter of WILD HEARTS. It’s quick on its feet, and has several powerful attacks that are challenging even when you’re fully prepared to face them. It’s immune to fire, so make sure to craft a piercing or slashing water-attuned weapon before the fight. If you’re having trouble defeating it, watch this video guide for reference.

Earthbreaker

The Earthbreaker battle since it’s part of the main story and is quite easy and straightforward. There isn’t much to the fight. Simply follow the instructions and you’ll be done in a few minutes. Here is a video guide showcasing the fight.

Goldshard

Goldshard is the first boss Kemono that you’ll encounter in Chapter 2. It’s a slow moving creature that’s weak to plant and wind damage. All of its attacks are well-telegraphed making them easier to dodge. You can also choose to stay close to it to prevent it from using ranged attacks. Take a look at this video guide to figure out the best way to take the Kemono down.

Sporetail

The Sporetail can force you to sleep with a simple shake of its body. As a Ragetail variant, it has a wide range of weapons in its arsenal. It can even summon mouse waves to attack you or use them to serve as adds. It’s best to avoid the mice and focus all your efforts on the Sporetail. It’s also weak to blunt and slashing damage and fire based attacks. Although the fight is quite easy, if you’re having trouble, here is a short video guide to help you out.

Icetusk

The Icetusk is a Kingtus variant that’s adapted for cold. It’s weak to fire based, blunt and piercing attacks so gear up accordingly. You can also use the Bulwark Karakuri to defend against the ice barrage and stomp attacks. The fight is much easier compared to the Kingtusk battle, but you should always enter the fray prepared. See this video for a reference.

Deathstalker

The Deathstalker can cover vast distances with a single leap, making him one of the toughest bosses in the game. The Kemono can also conjure walls and use them to launch itself towards you. You’ll have to memorize its moves by heart if you want to defeat the monster. Here is a video guide to help you with the fight.

Fumebeak

Being one of the most dangerous Kemonos in Chapter 2, it’s the first aerial enemy that you’ll come across in the game. It’s capable of inflicting poison damage, so make sure to carry food items that are capable of warding off toxins. You can also use Karakuri’s Healing Mist to get rid of the poison. Once the Kemono is enraged, it’ll start executing spinning and diving attacks that can easily knock you down in a few hits. Piercing damage deals the most damage, and the Claw Blade seems to be the perfect weapon for the job. Take a look at this video before starting the actual fight. It’s not going to be easy.

Onyxshard

The Onyxshard closely resembles the Goldshard, but with a few differences. It’s capable of summoning rocks from the ground, making the earth shake as it does so. It can even shoot spies and rip open the ground, creating massive caverns. The Kemono is weak to plant and wind based blunt and piercing attacks, so craft the appropriate weapons before the fight. Here is a video showcasing the entire fight.

Venomglider

The Venomglider is also similar to the Spineglider. You shouldn’t have any problems with this Kemono if you’re familiar with the Spineglider fight. It’s weak to fire and plant based blunt damage. Having the Pounder Karakuri will also help during the fierce fight. You should also pack some antitoxins to help combat the poison based attacks of the Venomglider. Watch this video guide if you’re having trouble with the battle.

Pearlbeak

The Fumebeak and Pearlbeak appear quite similar as hatchlings. However, the Pearlbeak develops white plumage as it gets older. It’s a flying Kemono and is weak to earth based pierce and blunt attacks. So remember to pick up the Harpoon Karakuri for this battle. In terms of approach, there is a small window just after it deals the blinding attack. Get close, deal damage and back up before it recovers. Here is a video guide showing the entire battle.

Ripclaw

In terms of movesets and attacks, the Ripclaw’s kit is similar to the Dreadclaw. It’s capable of putting you to sleep so be careful when you approach. The best way to take it down is by attacking from the rear. Use the Harpoon or Pounder Karakuri to deal consistent damage. The Ripclaw is weak to fire or plant based slashing attacks, so the Torch Karakuri is also a viable choice. The fight isn’t too difficult, but if you’re having trouble, watch this video for guidance.

Emberplume

The Emberplume is possibly the easiest end game boss among all the bosses. It moves more slowly than Golden Tempest. Although it uses divine attacks that deal massive amounts of damage, you can easily beat it using the Harpoon Karakuri. You can even use it to farm items for upgrading your weapons and armor and preparing yourself to face the toughest bosses. The Kemono is weak to slashing, piercing, and earth damage. Here is a video guide showcasing the entire boss fight.

Celestial Dragon

The Celestial Dragon is the last boss you’ll be fighting in Wild Hearts. It attacks in four phases, each representing a different season and different elemental attacks. It’s unlike any other flying Kemonos as you won’t be able to shoot it down using the repeater crossbow or drag it down using the harpoon. The limbs and the head are its weak points, so focus your attacks in those regions. It’s hard to follow up on its attacks as they are almost randomized. However, every attack it inflicts leaves the dragon vulnerable. So attack as soon as it’s slowed down. Here is a video guide showcasing the entire fight.

Celestial Being

Once you’ve defeated the Celestial Dragon, you’ll be held back by a cutscene. A swarm of neon butterflies covers your body, and the ground beneath gives way, making you plummet into the depths of the Sacred Mountain. You can utilize the same weapon you used for the Dragon fight, but switching over to something more stable and consistent like the Staff or Karakuri Katana is a better option. The Celestial Being is quite weak compared to the dragon. Most of its moves are well telegraphed and easily avoidable. Take your time studying its moves, and in case you are having trouble, refer to this video for the full fight.

Golden Tempest

The Golden Tempest is way more powerful compared to the others you’ve encountered so far. It’s extremely fast and can hit you from any direction. Avoiding attacks outright is difficult, so you’re better off conserving your stamina and timing your dodges to increase your odds of survival. Here is a video guide to help you learn the attack patterns of this hulking monstrosity.
