World of Warcraft Classic

Blizzard’s World of Warcraft Classic, a vanilla version of the popular MMORPG, has one more test before it launches. The pre-launch test is available now and will be available until tomorrow. If you’re interested in trying out WoW Classic, head over to Battle.net and download it. Then, connect the title to your WoW account.

World of Warcraft Classic is essentially an older version of the game, complete with all content prior to The Burning Crusade. Max level is 60 and all mechanics from the base game – like the original eight races and nine classes – are exactly as they were from 2004. You might wonder what the appeal is, but fans have been clamoring for a classic version of the game for years.

It’s worth noting that all of the content released through patches won’t be available immediately, so you won’t get into Blackwing Lair or Naxxramas at launch. Instead, they’ll be available in subsequent phases after the game goes live on August 27th. World of Warcraft Classic is accessible as long as you have an active subscription to the main game – stay tuned for more details en route to launch.
